The American Sewing Guild (ASG), founded in 1978, is dedicated to preserving and promoting the sewing arts through education and activities for sewing enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. ASG is a national nonprofit organization committed to a vision of “advancing sewing as an art life skill”.
Scholarship Information
The Sacramento Chapter of the American Sewing Guild takes pride in its ongoing commitment to encourage and support local students pursuing education in apparel construction and design. Since 2016, the chapter has awarded scholarships to help students achieve their academic and professional goals.
Currently, ASG awards two $1,000 scholarships annually to community college students who are pursuing a degree or certificate in apparel construction.
The application period opens on January 1 and closes on January 31 each year.
